what is you do not understand? This exercise is all about css, not html. It nice you post your html code, but can i see your css code as well?

it says 1. Make all the h3 headings red.
2.Set all the paragraphs to the Courier font-family. (Make sure to capitalize "Courier" as shown!)
3.The second paragraph contains text between <span></span> tags. Set the background-color of that <span> to 'yellow'. i don't understand css that much

a css selector is the same as the html opening tag, but without < and >, so if you want to target a heading:

<h1>i am a heading</h1>

in css that would be:

h1 {
  property: value;
  property: value;
}

now, property can be font-family, and the value can be Courier. Now, do this for your heading (h3) and span.
