After I push to github I only see a file directly of the files I pushed, not a website. Am I doing something wrong?
That is what I’ve done. The site is my username /myusername (since that is what codeacademy had us call it) and I still just see a list of the files of pushed. No rendered page.
so then the website is at:
but then the repo should be named fnewcome.github.io
, not fnewcome-github.io
Hmm…That still doesn’t make sense to me. I’ve updated the repo name, but I get an error " There isn’t a GitHub Pages site here.. Am I missing something here?
If the first part of the repository doesn’t exactly match your username, it won’t work, so make sure to get it right.
you could argue that your username is Fnewcome (first uppercase letter), not sure what githubs definition of exact is, but that could be the reason. (the repo is not with uppercase first letter)
