I did it right, but

I am confused as to why this one is not working :sweat:

var divideByThree = function (300) {
    var val = number / 3;
    console.log(val);
};

// On line 12, we call the function by name
// Here, it is called 'dividebythree'
// We tell the computer what the number input is (i.e. 6)
// The computer then runs the code inside the function!
divideByThree(6);

This is what it told me to do

var divideByThree = function (300) {
    var val = number / 3;
    console.log(val);
};

// On line 12, we call the function by name
// Here, it is called 'dividebythree'
// We tell the computer what the number input is (i.e. 6)
// The computer then runs the code inside the function!
divideByThree(6);

#2

You want 300 to just be number and not an actual number.

#3

And change 6 in divideByThree(6); to divideByThree(3);

#4

Oh yeah I know I was being dumb. I just figured that out. But can you actually help with this?

// Below is the greeting function!
// See line 7
// We can join strings together using the plus sign (+)
// See the hint for more details about how this works.

var greeting = function (Angie) {
    console.log("Great to see you," + " " + name);
};

// On line 11, call the greeting function!

@legendsoftomorrow
@boobear87

No it's supposed to be divideByThree(6);

#6

Where you have Angie you want to change it to just say name and not angie

And on line 11 you want to put it down as greeting("Angie")

#7

It didn't work though

#8

var greeting = function (Angie) {

Angie should be name

#9

var greeting = function (Angie) {

Should be:

var greeting = function (name) {

And you need to call the function at the end:

greeting("Angie")

#10

What do I do for the + part?

#11

You just leave it how it is.

#12

console.log("Great to see you," + " " + name);

#13

yes, but now the greeting function at the bottom isn't working

#14

it should be greeting("Angie")

#15

It worked! Thank you guys!

P.S. Whoever closes the posts, please do not close this because I may have more following topic questions, and it is frustrating to create new topics
