I have a problem with that exercise from the link. I did all what was asked in the exercise. Also the site looks not bad and I get the error message: "Oops, try again. Did you create a

with a class of 'left'?" When I want to proceed.
My code below. (first html and then css).

Why is it not working?

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
	<head>
		<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheet.css"/>
		<title></title>
	</head>
	<body>

	    <div id="header"></div>
	    <div id="left"></div>
	    <div id="right"></div>
	    <div id="footer"></div>

	</body>
</html>

* {
    margin: 0;
}

#header {

 background-color: green;
 width: 100%;
 height: 60px;
 margin: auto;
 border: 1px solid black;
 border-radius: 5px;

}

#left {

 background-color: grey;
 height: 100%;
 width: 200px;
 margin-top: 10px;
 border-radius: 5px;
 border: 1px solid black;
 display: inline-block;

}

#right {

   background-color: yellow;
   height: 100%;
   width: 200px;
   float: right;
   display: inline-block;
   margin-top: 10px;
   border-radius: 5px;
   border: 1px solid black;

}

#footer {

    background-color: red;
 width: 100%;
 height: 60px;
 margin-top: 10px;
 border: 1px solid black;
 border-radius: 5px;

}

You don't have left as a class but as an id.

Those should be class=left and class=right.

And in your CSS, you need to change #left and #right selectors to .left and .right.

class and id are two different things for different purposes.

Thank you that was it.
I should learn to read in the first place :smiley:
