I am very confused, need help

#1

Teh lesson

Don't know why this won't work
File "python", line 6
elif 9 < 10:
^
IndentationError: expected an indented block

I thought that doing it this way would work, it's not indented. Im stuck

# Make sure that the_flying_circus() returns True
def the_flying_circus():
    if 9 > 10:    # Start coding here!
        # Don't forget to indent
        # the code inside this block!
    elif 9 < 10:
        # Keep going here.
        # You'll want to add the else statement, too!
        else 93 > 9
            the_flying_circus() = True

#2

this needs to be unindented, in line with your if and elif statement, not inside of the elif statement. also, else statements cannot have conditions, so you need to get rid of 93 > 9, and put a colon there

#3

this is mah updated code

Make sure that the_flying_circus() returns True

def the_flying_circus():
if 9 > 10: # Start coding here!
elif 9 < 10:
# Keep going here.
# You'll want to add the else statement, too!
else;
the_flying_circus() = True

with the same error

File "python", line 6
elif 9 < 10:
^
IndentationError: expected an indented block

still confused

#4

like this...

def the_flying_circus():
    if 9 > 10:

    elif 9 < 10:

    else 93 > 9:
        the_flying_circus() = True

also, missing colon

#5

wrong, you can't have a condition in your else statement

@goldenconn I think that part of the problem is that you actually need something inside of your if and elif statements. You need an action like return and then whatever you would like it to return

#6

@kyleaw, i did not see that, but what i was trying to get at is the missing colon! :wink:
