I am stuck on the story heats up

#1

I have
confirm ("Are you ready to play?")
var age = prompt("What's your age?")
if (age<13)
{console.log ("I am not responsible for anything that happens.")}
else {console.log ("lets go!")}
console.log ("You are at a Justin Bieber concert, and you hear this lyric 'Lace my shoes off, start racing.'")
console.log ("Suddenly, Bieber stops and says, 'Who wants to race me?'")
var userAnswer = prompt ("Do you want to race Bieber on stage?")
if(userAnswer = "yes")
console.log("Oh no! Bieber shakes his head and sings 'I set a pace, so I can race without pacing.'")
else(userAnswer = "no")
console.log("GAME OVER... Restart now")
then I say yes but it says did you put in the yes answer option

You didn't put in any curly brackets { } in your if/else statement here at all, put these in and it should work.
If you don't know where to put them, review your previous exercises or ask me.

Well your "Yes" option is what it tells you to put in for your "no" option. And your no option is completely creative, but I've noticed that most of the lessons don't allow creativity because things are case sensitive and they tell you in this lesson to put the string about "neck and neck! you win by a shoelace!" in the "Yes" option. Unless they specifically say "You can use whatever you want for this" then creativity is going to be wrong.
Also you don't need to specify the "else" part of the statement.

if (condition)
{
console.log(...)
}
else
{
console.log(...)
}

this works with all the previous lessons.

You just bumped a 10 month old topic... that I already solved.

Please try not to do that - there's really no point in reviving old topics, no one wants to see them.

Thanks.
