I am stuck in the "17.Reviews:Functions" two days!

Oops, try again. Your function failed on the message no. It returned 'Shutting aborted' when it should have returned 'Shutdown aborted'

I am stuck in this exercise for two days! I tried all over 50 times and searched for google, but never solved this bad exercise! I think it is likely a problem of that codecademy website, because I tried all of codes corrected in this website, but still can not successfully pass to next lesson, instead it always appearance of error!! I would be great appreciated if someone help me solve this exercise.

def shut_down(s):
    if s=="yes":
        return "Shutting down"
    elif s=="no":
        return "Shutting aborted"
        return "sorry"
print shut_down("yes")

Invalid Syntax in Reviews: Functions ...please advise!

elif should return shutdown aborted not shuttingdown aborted, copy the string which you need to return from the instruction

This is Codecademy being picky. Change "Shutting aborted" to "Shutdown aborted". :smiley:

Thank you! it is really that problem, I changed and it works! I was seen it as shutting aborted!! speechless!!!
