I am stuck in lesson 12

#1

How do I indent the code in index.html to match the W3C standards?

Hi @adrianof7,

Do you mean something like this?

<table>
    <tr>
        <td>
            Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet
        </td>
        <td>
            Consectetur adipisicing
        </td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
        <td>
            Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet
        </td>
        <td>
            Consectetur adipisicing
        </td>
    </tr>
</table>

If yes, ensure you open and close that tag and then hit enter to jump to the next line. That should help automatically indent it. Additionally, hitting the tab key on your keyboard should do.

Let me know if this helps! :smile:

#3

A good rule of thumb is to indent or hit tab for each “nested element” in your html document

#4

Spaces are preferred. HTML gets quite nested so the style guides generally recommend two space indent for each level.

#5

haha yes a tab is much more!
