Html & CSS no. 3 one selector rules them all problem

#1

Hello
I am having this problem on making these dashed borders.

this is what i typed in:

CSS document:
div p {

border-width: 1px;
border: dashed;
border-color: #3a5fcd;

}

div div p{
border-width: 1px;
border: dashed;
border-color: #3a5fcd;
}

div div div p {
border-width: 1px;
border: dashed;
border-color: #3a5fcd;

}

but it keeps saying:
"Oops, try again. Did you remember to add a border of color #3A5FCD around every element?"
but on the display screen it is showing the blue dashed border line on the paragraphs (p).
can someone please help me?

You didn't provide a link to the lesson in question so I can only guess. Try to specify all the individual properties in "border" not just the border-style.

Like:
border: 1px dashed #3a5fcd;

i was looing for the right tag but I accidentally chose the wrong tag.
sorry there was no link to the lesson. I didn't thought of that. I will find a way to fix this.:slight_smile:
