Htlm Introduction Course - Image Display Problems - How To Escape Special Characters

I’m having problems getting the images to display on the introduction to htlm course.

I tried again to insert images on one of the practise exercises ‘Fashion Blog’. Which can be found here:

I followed the instructions and everything appears as it should, but no images are displayed. Here is the code:

"Everyday with Lsa"

An Insider's Guide to NYFW

I followed the instructions but no image appears. When I hover over the code a warning message appears saying:

“Special Characters Must Be Escaped”

I have no idea which characters are special, what is escaped or how to escape a special character. There are no instructions for this on the page, so I have no idea what to do. I did look at a youtube video about special characters, but I can’t see how that could apply to the img element (tag)?

I would really appreciate some help with this.

I copied and paste the code, but it doesn’t appear properly, how can I get the code to appear here?

I’m new and have no idea what I’m doing!

There is a button next to the quotation marks that says preformatted text. </> Give that button a push and paste your code where it says pate code here.

Make sure to press the button on a new line if you want to paste multiple lines of codes.

<p>NYFW can be both amazingly fun & incredibly overwhelming, especially if your've never been. Luckily, I'm here to give you an insider's guide and make your first show a pleasurable experience. By taking my tips and tricks, and following your gut, you'll have an unforgettable experience!</p>
      <h2>Getting Tickets & Picking the Shows</h2>
<p>If you're lucky or connected you can get an invite, sans the price tag. But I wasn't so lucky or connected my first 2 years so I'm here to help you out. First, plan out which shows are most important to you and make a schedule and this is a biggie: SET A BUDGET. If you're worrying about blowing your cash the whole time you won't have fun. Then check out prices, days, and times and prioritize the designers you want to see most. Lastly, purchase your tickets and get excited!</p>
      <h2>Dressing for the Shows</h2>
<p>Always be true to your own sense of style, if you don't you'll be uncomfortable the whole time and it will show. Remember, NYFW is about expressing yourself and taking in what the designers have chosen to express through their new lines. Also it's important to wear shoes you'll be comfortable in all day. Obviously you wnat to look good, but you'll be on your feet all day long, so be prepared.</p>

Its the imges that does not display.

The src should be: src=“…”

The browser will not understand it if you got the = sign on the wrong place.

Hi Biirra

Thank you so much, I need to learn to pay very close attention to how I type htlm. The image is displaying now. I feel so silly, I was sure I had typed it correctly. Thank you for your help.
