How to open html from visual studio code to chrome

Hi, there

I am currently working on Visual Studio Code, create a html file and try to open it on Chrome but failed.

Code:

<!DOCTYPE html>

<html lang="en">

<head>

    <meta charset="UTF-8">

    <meta name="viewport" content="width=, initial-scale=1.0">

    <title>Gritt-ify</title>

</head>

<body>

    <!--heading section––>

    <div>

        <h1>Kenny's personal online resume</h1>

        <img src="./resources/images/MicrosoftTeams-image (1)" alt="">

        <p>Kenny's a very jumpy candidate since grauation from PolyU in 2017</p>

        <button>Love me or I'll kill you</button>

    </div>

    <!--another section-->

    <div>

        <span>Kenny</span>

        <p>Kenny's a very smart and hardworking person</p>

        <form action="">

            <input type="text"/>

            <input type="submit" value="submit">

        </form>

    <div>

        <ul>

            <div></div><span>Hey there,it's Kenny again</span>

        </ul>

    </div>

    </div>

</body>

</html>

When I type in the html address in the chrome, it’s blank and nothing was shown.

Hello @data6260682876!! Welcome to the Codecademy community!! :grinning:

Is your browsers screen entirely blank? It doesn’t even say it can’t reach the page or some other error?

Perhaps your browser does not have permissions to excess your computers files.

You could also try opening the file by clicking on it like you would an app and opening it with the browser.

Hi @data6260682876:

Perhaps you could try this method as specified in this article

Hope this helps!
