# How to not forget the ; at the end of c# code

Um, so every time I work on something here, they would say have you blah blah blah and show some code errors…
Apparently, I missed the ; at the end of some lines of code.
How can I make myself remember to do it?

Hi, I’ve had similar trouble with closing tags and parentheses before, too. I managed to minimize that error by typing out the syntax structure first then I would type the rest, example in JS I would do this first:

``````if () {
};
``````

Now, even when writing a text, whenever I hit an opening parentheses I would automatically close it before writing anything in them.

Thanks!
So you’re saying I need to write ; first so I don’t forget?

Yes, whenever you know it’s going to be needed, put that there first then type the rest before it.
