How to install a python package that is missing from the Anaconda Repo? Specifically DearPyGUI

I tried conda install dearpygui but I got

PackagesNotFoundError: The following packages are not available from current channels:

  • dearpygui

Current channels:

To search for alternate channels that may provide the conda package you’re
looking for, navigate to

https://anaconda.org

and use the search bar at the top of the page.

Should I look for a way to install this in Anaconda or should I find out how to install a separate Python enviroment where I can then try pip install dearpygui ?

I think the quickest test would be to just install it with pip if it’s available on PyPI. Not sure how accruate the advice is as it keeps changing but I think the conda docs suggested adding conda based packages first followed by any from pip if you have to mix the two. Try installing everything but dearpygui with conda then use pip to add it and hope there’s no dependency issues .

Yikes, I think I’ll learn TKinter first.
