How to do PygLatin Practice

#1

there is no instruction on how to do this question. so far my code looks like
raw_input("Enter a word:")
original = raw_input
if len(original)>0 :
print "original"
else:
print "Please enter a new word"
but I don't know how to move the first letter of the word to the end of the word, and to add the ay do I just add the two variables together? Sorry if this seems stupid I have no coding background.

HI this these line

raw_input("Enter a word:")
original = raw_input

put it like that

original = raw_input("Enter a word:")

#3

Throughout the exercises the instructions on the right showed you how to do that. :slight_smile:

To start with you need a variable that stores 'ay'

pyg = 'ay'

Suggest go back to the very beginning and read the lesson text carefully, paying close attention to any examples given. Don't be in a hurry. Take as much time on each step as you need to fully understand what is going on, and how to plan out each step.

#5

thank you i realized after clicking around that they walk you thru it. Thank you all

#6

ok i fixed that but how do i get it to print the word the user enters?

#7

this line

print "original"

just remove the " " around original because like that it make original a string
