How to convert Int datatype to List?

a = [4, 3, 23, 756, 23]
b = a[1]
print(a)    #output: [4, 3, 23, 756, 23]
print(b)    #output: 3 giving int not list
c = list(b) # I tried to convert it into list but it shows error
print(c)

ERROR:

tyc = list(b) # I tried to convert it into list but it shows error
TypeError: 'int' object is not iterablepe or paste code here

You can’t convert a single integer into a sequence-type like a list. But you can put it inside a new list, which sounds like what you want.

but a single value can be a list. right?

a = [5]

so why can’t we convert a int value into list???

Because it doesn’t make sense. When you call the list() function, you’re telling the computer to split the input argument into one character per element. How do you split the integer 4?
