How old do users have to be to use Codecademy?

You can be any age to use and may be of any age to have an account there. However, due to legal restrictions, things are a little different in Codecademy community spaces like these forums, where you have to be at least 13 years old to create and maintain an account. If you notice or have suspicion that someone on these forums is under 13, please flag them to our staff. Those users suspected of being under 13 years of age will be emailed and asked to confirm and prove their birth date within 24-48 hours. After that period, if users do not reply or are unable to confirm that they are legally old enough to use these forums, they will lose access to the Codecademy community platforms.
