Question

How many fallback fonts should I have?

Answer

We can have as many fallback fonts as we would like, however, each of our fallback fonts should be similar to our top font-family choice to make sure our web page looks as we intended, even when a font fails to load. We also want to make sure we have our last fallback font set to a generic font-family name (that is similar to our original font) in the case that none of our fonts load. For example:

p {
  font-family: "Century Gothic", Arial, sans-serif;
}
