How do you position divs on the bottom of a page?

#1

Now I know that in HTML you start at the top, but how do you put something at the bottom?

For example, what if you wanted to put a footer at the bottom of the webpage and use "position: fixed" to keep it at the bottom of the screen no matter where you are on the page, or what size of a screen you have?

I've tried to look at w3 schools for reference, but couldn't find any article to solve this...

if you have position: fixed you could use bottom: 0;, this will position to the bottom of the first non static parent, if there is no non-static parent, it is positions 0px away from the bottom of the screen
