It’s extremely distracting that I can’t type anything in the code editor without a pop-up popping up. I don’t want that to happen without me causing it to happen on purpose. It makes me not want to use Codecademy.
I think that’s under the Tools menu.
Thanks! Turned it off. (I wish things like this wouldn’t be enabled by default!)
I don’t think it’s under Tools after all. I turned off everything that seemed relevant and I’m still getting these annoying, distracting pop-ups giving me “help” I don’t need and didn’t ask for.
I have both of those switched off and I’m still getting it,
Maybe log out and log back in?
What course is it? Are you on Mac or Windows? What web browser?
Perhaps report the issue within the lesson itself under “Get Unstuck>Bugs”.
I’d rather not log out right now because I’m in the middle of something I want to come back to later, but I’ll try logging out later. I’m on Windows, using Chrome, and I’m at https://www.codecademy.com/courses/introduction-to-javascript/lessons/javascript-iterators/exercises/reduce
Your best bet is to report it within the lesson as I mentioned above.
