How do I set a variable called name?

#1

So I'm trying to set a variable named name with my own name, Ferry.

https://www.codecademy.com/courses/ruby-beginner-en-d1Ylq/2/3?curriculum_id=5059f8619189a5000201fbcb

It keeps saying : "Oops, try again. Did you declare a variable called name?"

I don't know what I did wrong! I looked back on the same question someone asked, but it still didn't work. Help! :disappointed_relieved:

heres my code below:

name_variable = "Ferry"

You have created variable called name_variable and according to instructions it should be just name :slight_smile:

Its appearing right, but it keeps saying error.... :expressionless:

#5

Hm, this is completely correct code:

name = "Ferry"

Please try to:

  1. copy your code;
  2. click reset code;
  3. click save & submit code;
  4. paste your code back into the editor;
  5. click save & submit code again.
