How do I make a website with what I've learnt?

#1

Hello,
OK, I've completed the course. But how do I apply what I've learnt? Do I need a compiler to make an actual website?

Thanks!

Nope all you need is a text editor like Notepad++, sublime text2/3, eclipse, bracket, atom etc write the html/css/javascript code.
If you want to see what you are doing so far all you have to do is open(or drag and drop) that file in your browser.
To host online it you probably have to purchase a domain name and 000Webhost offers a free limited hosting service

OK, thanks rydan!
I'll give that a go and see how it works!

Hello lyse33,

I don't know what I'm doing and you're not, so I'm not sure what I can do to help.
Just make sure that:
- you've closed all the statements.
- you have html at the beginning and /html at the end. (add the <> symbols)
- you have !DOCTYPE html at the beginning. (again, add the <> symbols)
- you have quotation marks around "learn-more" and "container" (problem which I had).

Hope that helps - good luck!
