How do I get an image off the web?

I understand the code of putting in an image off the web. I just don’t understand how I find an image with a url attached. When I’ve coded images before in HTML, they’ve always been in a directory, not from the web. I can’t just put in any URL with an image on the page and have it display an image.

you can just right click the image and select: copy image location/url?
