How do I copy my code examples for future reference?

#1

I want to take a copy of my code so that I have examples of the different topics that I can refer to in the future?

Hello @ashleylong,

To take a copy of your code press Ctrl+C (Windows) or Cmd+C (Apple Macintosh). Store your copied code in a Microsoft Word, NotePad or TextEdit (Mac) document with the title as the title of the section. This way use can refer back to it at any time.

Barry,

Thanks, but what I was hoping for was a way of copying all the code from a 'codecademy' repository, that must exist, in one process. I had worked thru about 30% of the course before I realised that it might be useful to capture the code for future reference.

No, there is not such a button. But the code will remain saved inside the exercises, you can always revisit it.

Ok, thanks for the help, I was just trying not to re-visit all the exercises that I want to capture the code from individually.
