How can we extract data from traversing through a series of paginated HTML webpages?

I am new here and I got troubles when helping my friends to scrape data from the website for making a personal set of vehicle records. That’s why I try to learn HTML/CSS or Javascript here. However, I hardly find any hints about data scraping from HTML/CSS or Javascript tutorials. Any useful content in Pro or other tutorials @codecademy that will help?
