How can I set up a SQL environment on my desktop?

#1

Hi,
I’ve went through the Learn SQL course and now I’m interested in making my own databases locally to track some simple stuff like expenditures etc. I just don’t know what would be the best way to go about doing that.

I understand that Codeacademy uses SQLite. They’ve got a download page here: https://sqlite.org/download.html - but which one do I use, considering I’m on Windows 7? The sqlite-tools binary?

Thanks!

Hi @d_genc,

The sqlite-tools file looks like the correct one to download. After downloading it, you’ll need to extract the three .exe files from it to use SQLite.
