#1

$(document).ready(function(){

$('div').hover(
    function(){
        $(this).addClass('active');
    },
    function(){
        $(this).removeClass('active');
    }
);

});

Hi JENNIFER MACKINNEY,

Please give us a link to the exercise you're on and post the error message you're getting so we can help you.

If you are using IE, try removing this line [transition: background-color 0.5s ease;] from stylesheet.css. This line causes issues in IE.
