I’m completely new to coding, so please excuse my ignorance. I’m stuck on this exercise and everything I try doesn’t work. it keeps saying “define variable”. Any help would be greatly appreciated. the question is…

On line 3, create the variable my_string and set it to any string you’d like.
2.On line 4, print the length of my_string.
3.On line 5, print the .upper() case version of my_string

Hi @jd8784,

If you post some of the code that you tried, we can help with it.

Hi @appylpye. Thanks! but I just figured out what was wrong. I forgot to put speech marks to create the variable. Ammature mistake  Thankyou for offering!
