Help with 4, keeping getting same error

#1

console.log("Suddenly, Bieber stops and says,'Who wants to race with me?'");
var userAnswer = prompt("Do you want to race Bieber on stage?");

Oops, try again. Did you remember to console.log("Suddenly, Bieber stops and says, 'Who wants to race me?'"); ?

What am I missing?

#2

A lowly space character. "... says, space 'Who...

#3

Same problem.
I copied the text but same error again

#4

I am having the same problem... haven't been able to move on in a couple of days :frowning:

console.log ("You are at a Justin Bieber concert, and you hear this lyric 'Lace my shoes off, start racing.'");
console.log ("Suddenly, Bieber stops and says,'Who wants to race me?'");
var userAnswer= prompt ("Do you want to race Bieber on stage?")

#5

To repeat,

"Suddenly, Bieber stops and says,'Who wants to race with me?'"
"Suddenly, Bieber stops and says, 'Who wants to race with me?'"

#6

Im having the same problem. I cant seem to figure it out, if you find out sometime tell us.

#8

In case you didn't catch it by now, mtf explained:

console.log ("Suddenly, Bieber stops and says, 'Who wants to race me?'");

You need double space before 'Who wants to race me?'"

#9
I doubled spaced before 'Who wants to race with me' and I'm getting the same exact error as them.

This is my code so far:

console.log("You are at a Justin Bieber concert, and you hear this lyric 'Lace my shoes off, start racing.'");
console.log("Suddenly, Bieber stops and says, 'Who wants to race me?'");
var userAnswer = prompt("Do you want to race Bieber on stage?");

#10

Actually, just a single space. The OP is missing one, as pointed out.

#11

It doesn't work with a single space either.

#12

Try to copy/paste given assignment text, and see if it works.

#13

I am running into the same error? Any ideas would be so helpful.

#14

Did you guys figure out how to solve it. I'm having the same problems

#17

I copied that from Warning message and added to my code))

console.log("Suddenly, Bieber stops and says, 'Who wants to race me?'");
var userAnswer = prompt("Do you want to race Bieber on stage?");

my full part of code;
console.log ("You are at a Justin Bieber concert, and you hear this lyric 'Lace my shoes off, start racing.'");
}
console.log("Suddenly, Bieber stops and says, 'Who wants to race me?'");
var userAnswer = prompt("Do you want to race Bieber on stage?");

#18

The result Window wants exactly 100% sentence with all indents, periods, etc.

#20

#21

I went back a screen, and then started again - this time cutting and pasting directly from the instructions window, and it worked

console.log("You are at a Justin Bieber concert, and you hear this lyric 'Lace my shoes off, start racing.'")
console.log("Suddenly, Bieber stops and says, 'Who wants to race me?'")
var userAnswer = prompt("Do you want to race Bieber on stage?");

I noticed that mine didn't work when I told the dialogue box to stop displaying. Once I went back a step and unchecked the hide option (in the pop up), it worked fine. Hope that helps.
