I’m currently doing https://www.codecademy.com/courses/learn-css/lessons/css-typography/exercises/linking-fonts-ii?action=resume_content_item and I could not figure out why I was doing what the tutorial was telling me, but it would not recognize my link for step 1 of the instructions as the correct answer.
In the Google Fonts page I copied the following details:
<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Space+Mono:400,700&display=swap" rel="stylesheet">
I kept getting the error message that I was wrong, so I read back through the details and the examples and saw that the text I was copying was different to the examples. In the text I was copying it included &display=swap
I’ve removed this &display=swap and now my result is accepted as being correct. So my question is, what does this &display=swap do exactly?
