Help I cant get past

#1

$(document).ready(function() {
$( "ul li:nth-child(2)" )
$target.fadeOut('fast');
});

#2

This is 3/13, right?
I used this code, because you want the fourth li of the ordered list to fade away:
$(document).ready(function() {
var $target = $("ol li:nth-child(4)");
$target.fadeOut('fast');
});

#3

Hey man! Thankyou!!!

I think I understood more about it with your example than all the stuff they wrote on the lesson!

#4

Try this one, 100% working -

// Write your jQuery code on line 3!
$(document).ready(function() {
//var $target = $('li:nth-child(4)'); it is also working
var $target = $('#chump'); // to use this one you have to create an <!-- li ID ="chump" -- > in html index tab.
$target.fadeOut('fast');
});

enjoy.. :smile:

Same error I was getting, make sure to type var $target vs var target.

The validation can a little buggy when it tries to validate your code. Example causing a error in the javascript panel(such as putting a random break) then pressing save causes you to auto pass the section course!
