Having trouble with this one

#1

So,
this happened to me in the first of these lessons, then I refreshed the page and it worked. I have virtually the same code to repeat and I checked everything, but I keep getting " Syntax Erroe- Unexpected Key word 'else'. Any help is appreciated

var userChoice = prompt("Do you choose rock, paper or scissors?");
var computerChoice = Math.random();
if (computerChoice < 0.34) {
computerChoice = "rock";
} else if(computerChoice <= 0.67) {
computerChoice = "paper";
} else {
computerChoice = "scissors";
} console.log("Computer: " + computerChoice);
var compare= function (choice1, choice2){

if (choice1===choice2){
return "The result is a tie!";}
}
else/if (choice1==="rock"){
if (choice2==="scissors"){
return "rock wins";}
else{
return "paper wins";}
}
else if (choice1==="paper"){
if (choice2==="rock"){
return "paper wins";}
else{
return "scissors wins";}
}
else if(choice1==="scissors"){
if (choice2==="rock"){
return "rock wins";}
else{
return "paper wins";
}
}

#2

Remove the slash between else and if. You may want to take a look at your compare function from beginning to end as well.

#3

Tried that as well. Didn't change anything. Actually the computer did that when I refreshed the page

What symbol ends a function?
