Github text colr

Hi,

I am new to github. When I copied code from Codeaacademy into Github code section of my repository, none of my text is colored. How can I color code to make it more readable?

Thank you!

I’ve not tried changing the default on github but it does have syntax highlighting. Make sure you save files with the correct extensions though so that it can choose the correct file type (e.g. .js .py .cpp etc.).

Only details I’ve found about it- https://docs.github.com/en/free-pro-team@latest/github/creating-cloning-and-archiving-repositories/about-repository-languages

Yes, I did not save it as .py.

Thank you for helping me.
