GitHub ate my portfolio project!

So I completed my portfolio project and posted it to my GitHub repository here:
https://github.com/Fastius23/codecademy_insurance_project/blob/main/us-medical-insurance-costs.ipynb

I would love to ask for it to be reviewed, but GitHub isn’t showing a preview of the file. Worse, when clicking the download file link in GitHub, the file contents are just a single line of text stating: “404: Not Found”.

Despite this, I can see the correct file contents on GitHub on the code tab, and likewise GitHub correctly displays that it is a 463 line file comprising 270kb.

I’ve tried deleting the file and reposting, with the same results. I’ve also tried posting an earlier lesson Jupyter notebook to the same repository, also with the same results.

I need help, as I’m at a loss to resolve this issue.

How did you upload the project’s notebook to GH? Was it via the upload button in the specific repository?

Is the repo set to public?

Yes, it was with the upload file button in the repository, and yes the repository is public

Hm. I get the Obi-Wan Kenobi Octocat 404 error when I use this address:

https://github.com/Fastius23/

and, same with this:
https://github.com/Fastius23/codecademy_insurance_project

Thanks for looking into this. I see now that my account is invisible when I’m not logged in.

I created that GitHub account a decade ago, and never did anything with it. I’m guessing GitHub had done something to deactivate it.

I went ahead and created a new GitHub account which appears to be working and visible.

You can consider this issue solved. Thanks again.
