Functions Tutorial Compiler gives out undefined?

I am currently doing the functions tutorial in Javascript

So my Question is basicly that I am getting in the console an output called undefined, but why?! :thinking:

Here is a Example:
console.log(getReminder());

function getReminder() {
console.log(‘Water the plants.’);
}

Console Output:
Water the plants.
undefined

so where does the undefined come from?
I appreciate every help, so that I can have a better understanding. :sweat_smile:

Your function does not return anything, yet when you call the function:

console.log(getReminder());

you attempt to log the returned result.

Is logging the returned result wrong? srry if this is a dumb question, I am a big newbie and really learn from zero. :sweat_smile:

given nothing is returned, why bother logging it?
