Functions, return and if / else,There was a problem with your syntax

#1

I don't understand what's the problem?

// Define quarter here.
var quarter = function(number) {
return number \ 4 ;
};

if (quarter(12) % 3 === 0 ) {
console.log("The statement is true");
} else {
console.log("The statement is false");
}

#2

I'm not sure you need a semi colon after your function but that doesn't seem to be the problem.

The division sign is ' / ' and not ' \ ' .
That is most likely the problem.

OMG you're right,how didn't i notice that? thank you a lot!

You're welcome. You could mark this problem as solved then.
