Javascript 8. Functions, return and if / else

I'm getting this error: SyntaxError: expected expression, got ';'

I keep looking it over, I've been through the exercises a few times and checked out W3, and I just can't see it! Anyone have any help for me?

// Define quarter here.
var quarter = function(number);
{
    return number / 4;
}

if (quarter(24) % 3 == 0);  {
  console.log("The statement is true");
}
else {
  console.log("The statement is false");
}
