Function parameters and arguments

Welcome to the Get Help category!

im stuck on the first step it keeps telling to define the function when i have.

File “travel.py”, line 2
def generate_trip_instuctions(" location")
^
SyntaxError: invalid syn

it tells you the line no.

Double check your parameter.

do i need to put a colon at end of ()

I’m assuming this is all of your code so far?
yes, a colon follows the parens when defining a function in python.

is there a reason that " location" is in quotes? is it part of a keyword argument? ex: location = "Paris" ?
