From absolutely non-technical occupation to pro web- and mobile developer in 1.5 years

Thank you for the experience. This will make it a lot easy to keep moving.

Not sure what you mean. There are no advisors. The best you can hope for is peer support. If anyone is able to help with your problem then you might get the help you need. If not, then you’re in the wind. Post your question, regardless and if nobody on the forums can answer, then maybe someone from CC curriculum staff will. Trust in your peers to guide you through this labyrinth.

There were advisors at the time I wrote my post. Or I thought there were… :grinning:
If there is no advisors there are other ways to get help:

  • This forum
  • Other Pro members
  • StackOverflow.com where you can register if you won’t find the answer (which I did)
  • Official MDN documentation (which is brilliant)
  • Basically any Q&A IT forum

What I mean: he just went through a life experience and he share it with people that doesn’t have no idea if he going to make a living doing this. It is great to know that someone can make it.

Thank you for your comment.

I believe everyone can make it. The crucial thing here is to find the sweet spot - the amount of time for studying almost every day. I should be more than nothing and less than “I feel like I struggle too much”. Skill development works well with stability and repetition.

This thread is old, and I am brand spankin’ new to code academy. I am not a tech person, I do like to troubleshoot analyze, do experiments, but generally technology hates me. Trying to gage if I am cut out for this or not. But in the meantime I was wondering, are there any female military veterans out there?
