Freeform project date issue

<PLEASE USE THIS TEMPLATE TO HELP YOU CREATE A GREAT POST!>

<Below this line, add a link to the EXACT exercise that you are stuck at.>

<Below this line, in what way does your code behave incorrectly? Include ALL error messages.>
The DATE function is not displaying correctly I have tried amending the actual date a number of wasy as can be shown in the code below - is this a region issue (im using a UK formatted machine)

<In this course, it often helps to include a screenshot of your whole web browser – that lets everyone see what you see. If you wish to include a screenshot, add it below this line.>

<If you wish to copy/paste in your code, you can use this next section. This will allow others to copy/paste your code for testing – something that they won’t be able to do with just a screenshot.>

```
CREATE TABLE friends (id INTEGER, name TEXT, birthday DATE);
INSERT INTO friends (id, name, birthday) VALUES (1, “Jane Doe”, 19051993);
INSERT INTO friends (id, name, birthday) VALUES (2, “Jeff”, 1986-11-17);
INSERT INTO friends (id, name, birthday) VALUES (3, “Happy”, 1987-06-23);
INSERT INTO friends (id, name, birthday) VALUES (4, “Sleepy”, 1975-08-15);
UPDATE friends
SET name = “Jane Smith”
WHERE id = 1;
ALTER TABLE friends ADD COLUMN email TEXT;
UPDATE friends
SET email = “[email protected]
WHERE id = 1;
UPDATE friends
SET email = “[email protected]
WHERE id = 2;
UPDATE friends
SET email = “[email protected]
WHERE id = 3;
UPDATE friends
SET email = “[email protected]
WHERE id = 4;
DELETE FROM friends WHERE name IS “Jane Smith”;
SELECT * FROM friends;
<do not remove the three backticks above>
In the example the date is written as text: “May 19th, 1993” so maybe that different notation helps.
By changing the type DATE to TEXT.
Good luck!
That year turns into 1952 yeah?
1975 - 8 - 15 = 1952
Those are numbers.
