For all and one

we where told to create a list that will print out (2 * number) two times every number in the list, instead the function multiplies and prints out just the last number in the list ;
my_list = [1,2,3,4,5,6,9]

for number in my_list:
my_list = number
print 2 * number # Your code here

i have gotten it, i am supposed to use print (2 * number) to affect all the numbers in the list

This line overwrites the list with a single number. You are on the right track, though.

my_list = [1,2,3,4,5,6,9]
for number in my_list:
    print number * 2
