I can’t understand why when we add align-items: center to the .box, the flex items move form the left of the container to the middle.
The align-items property spaces flex items vertically. Vertically right? but in the example above, it spaces the items horizontally.

Alignment is cross axis. Given the vertical direction, the cross axis is on the horizontal, hence centered left to right.
