function list() {

}

var search = function(lastName){

    for (var i =0; i < contactsLength; i++){
        if(lastName===contacts[i].lastname){
            printPerson(contacts[i]);
        }

You have one to many closing } and you were not case sensitive when calling lastName

var search = function(lastName){
    var contactsLength = contacts.length;
    for (var i =0; i < contactsLength; i++){
        if(lastName===contacts[i].**lastname**){
//make sure that you are case sensitive, **lastName**
            printPerson(contacts[i]);

     }
// Get rid of one }

}
}
};

This code should work should work

var search = function(lastName) {
    var contactsLength = contacts.length;
	for (var i = 0; i < contactsLength; i++) {
	if (lastName === contacts[i].lastName) {
	    printPerson(contacts[i])
	};
    }
}
search("Jones");

Thank you so much! That looks like it was difficult to find. Except for the spelling error that is...
