Where can I find a definition of badges and what they mean?
I got a “Max Streak Count of 3” as an achievement and no explanation.
Is there a way to remove this badge that I did not ask for?

On your “My Home” page (https://www.codecademy.com/learn), there is a link for “View Achievements”
For badges, see https://discuss.codecademy.com/badges
If I am not mistaken, “Max Streak Count of 3” means that you have done an exercise or posted in the forums for 3 consecutive days.
