I feel like the FAQ, specifically the Learn how format code part, gets lost in the “tab” button (next to search button and profile button) under all the different categories and topic lists. I know it took me 3 months before I even realize Codecademy discussions had a FAQ section due to the fact it was hidden down in that tab all along! There is a lot of good information in the FAQ that is valuable for newer users to know like formatting, being civil, etc. Maybe I am just blind and can’t see right, but I think Codecademy should consider moving the FAQ to a more prominent place of viewing so more people can easily find it. Also, I think maybe the FAQ could be utilized more towards the more common technical difficulties and such so considering updating the FAQ with more questions that users can benefit from might also be a wise decision. Obviously, this takes work and (maybe money?), but I think it would be a nice investment to offer to its users to have a well compiled, easily seen FAQ to eliminate the more common problems and to help users starting out with formatting, forum “manners”, etc.
I agree with the fact that learning to format code can be hard until someone points it out, and to point it out or link to it, we have to rediscover the link.
