What exactly is the point of running_count

what value does counting the occurrences do. My understanding here is that the count is just counting how many times there is a value in the change_in_followers column?

I think there is some editing that needs to be done in the course. I have noticed a few off-topic words in the summaries and questions. For instance, - on the Window Functions - Window Function Syntax lesson (2/9), The mention of " This window function is taking the sum of money raised each month." has nothing to do with instagram followers.

Also, it is weird that “Instagram” is the username of one of the people having a social media account.

I appreciate Codecademy’s service, it has helped me a ton, but a little more time editing courses and lessons is probably in order.

The Window function seems to be similiar to the GROUP BY. Why would I use one method over the other? Maybe later in the course that gets cleared up.l

I agree with the comment about “instagram” This sounds more like a category that a user. Maybe that is the intent. Not a real roadblocker

Same question here, I am confused about what the point of running_count

running_count just gives you a solid number of followers over the course of a month, a running total count of followers.
