It seems running tsc doesn’t compile ts code. I get the same errors even after I change the code.
I wonder how it passes the tests since bash says there is an error but checker says its OK and allows me to continue.

Ok, I found the issue. It doesn’t update my TS code till I press “RUN” button. It checks my code (new code in editor) and lets me pass all tests, but in order for tsc to work properly, I need to RUN the code first, and then run tsc afterwards. This solved the issue.

When running a TypeScript file should I run node index.js or node index.ts? I notice that both work. Why is this?

I ran tsc on bash to compile the code and node index.js to run the program. Worked great!
