For some reason, this

  $(".menu-button").on("mouseenter", () => {
    $(".nav-menu").slideDown();
    $(".menu-button").animate(
      {
        color: "#C3FF00",
        backgroundColor: "#535353",
        fontSize: "24px",
      },
      200
    );
  });

doesn’t affect the color at all. Why? You probably can’t “animate” color change, but I expected it to change anyway
