If uou are using Node > 17 you will find that the project has an error. Here’s the solution:

Error message “error:0308010C:digital envelope routines::unsupported”

Having a bit of an error here. When defining the props ‘router’ inside of RouterProvider it’s telling me that there is a syntax error?

Any help?

Full Code:

import { Route, RouterProvider } from ‘react-router-dom’;
//import { createBrowserRouter } from ‘react-router-dom’;

import “./App.css”;

const router = (
/* Wrap this Root Route to create Router here /
<Route path=“/” element={ }>
{/
Add Routes here! */}

)

function App() {
return (

  { /* Replace below and add Router Provider*/}
  <RouterProvider router={router} />

);
}

export default App;

Hey. So I didn’t see that Codecademy had a course on react-router so I went to YouTube and other sources for this and I noticed that Codecademy is teaching it differently… and here is what I mean. In this course it’s telling you to use createBrowserRouter and RouterProvider, everything else I’ve seen has shown, BrowserRouter and Routes. Now I’m unsure if this is because this is an outdated course, or if there is a difference, if someone can please let me know. Thanks!
