I’m having trouble with step 3. My code creates a StartScene but is not accepted as a valid answer. I had to go to the solution code to pass to the next exercise.

class StartScene extends Phaser.Scene {
  constructor() {
    super({ key: 'StartScene'});
  }
  create() {
    this.add.text( 150, 270, 'Click to start', { fontSize: '15px', fill: '#000000' });
  }
}

Can someone help me understand what I’ve done incorrectly above?

am having the same problem too

Hello,

I’ve also run into this error when using:

  create() {
    this.add.text( 150, 250, "Start the game", {color: 'black'} )
  }

In my case, removing the style (last argument, {color: ‘black’}) allowed the test to pass using this code:

// Add your code below:
class StartScene extends Phaser.Scene {
  constructor() {
    super({ key: 'StartScene' })
  }

  create() {
    this.add.text( 150, 250, "Start the game" )
  }
}

It is probable that the test expects only the 3 arguments from Step 3’s instructions.
