A post was split to a new topic: CSS table borders

You mention the CSS table border and show the code for it, but then don’t include it in the example. The example only adds several rows. Where do we put the code to apply the border?

I could not get this one to work and so I went to code solutions to determine the problem. Turns out the problem is from an earlyer part of the code and not what I copied and pasted. Up till now everything has worked fine. Take a look.

I’m not going to try to correct everything the solution says is wrong so I am just going to copy the solution and go on.

Hi, new to Codecademy. I just want to say there were multiple really simple errors that you made and that most of us, that I see are fairly new to this, make. I’m not sure copy and pasting a solution is going to help you in the long run. Yes, you can copy and paste your way to success I guess if that’s your prerogative, but when it comes to answering questions about errors others or employers might find it could cause a problem further down the line. I’m honestly no expert and am just offering my opinion as to when I have found errors in my work. I refreshed the code in question, went through what was required and tried again. Often it was the same as what I saw here, simple errors or omissions of code like not closing tags or spacing.
